We are an active guild with multiple meetings per month plus extra events throughout the year.
Our central BMQG catch-up and sew day is on the third Sunday of the month at The Hub, 171 Dandenong Rd, Mt Ommaney. If you want to learn more about our guild, come along to sew day as this is the best way to get to check out modern quilts and our guild. Both members and visitors can bring along a current project to sew and any show and tell they wish to share with the group as we love to see what everyone has been working on.
The Hub is fully air-conditioned and powered, but please bring an extension cord and power board if you are machine sewing. We normally share snacks on a “bring a plate” system, but due to COVID restrictions, please advise your intended attendance to email@example.com and bring your own food and drink until further notice.
We have also have BMQG Local meetings and sew days in the following locations around South East Queensland:
- Gold Coast – first Saturday of each month
- Gatton – first Thursday of each month
- Moreton Bay – first Saturday of each month
Contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more about BMQG Local meetings.
We enjoy both Summer and Winter retreats, most recently at The Outlook at Boonah.
Events and Workshops
We are lucky to be able to offer our members access to workshops with talented sewists and quilters from within Australia and beyond. Some of our members are also talented teachers.
We have quilt displays at local craft shows at least annually, allowing our members to be able to display their quilts to a wider audience.
