The Brisbane Modern Quilt Guild is a community for quilters to share and inspire each other.
Our vision is to promote the craft of modern quilting in a friendly atmosphere and to provide a place to share ideas and skills. Our focus is our love of modern quilts and fabrics and sharing that love by supporting others online and in person.
We have an active community quilts program that members can play a part in as suits them, by which we proudly support those fleeing family violence through the Salvation Army.
Brisbane MQG was established in 2014, we originally served the Brisbane area but have grown further into the south east corner and have members across SEQ and further afield, including overseas. Our new BMQG Local meetings are growing with chapters now available on the Gold Coast, at Gatton and now in the north region at Moreton Bay. Our central meeting at Mt Ommaney is our main home, and we welcome members and visitors on the third Sunday of each month. Please see our events page for more information.
This has been refreshed in 2021, by Deb Tyson, with the Story Bridge remaining as focus.

Come along to a sew day, pull up a chair and a project, ask what someone is sewing, and see what happens. We’re a friendly bunch, promise.
