After a few months of zoom meeting and chatting on facebook, we have resumed our face to face sew days, albeit in a sewcially distant format thanks to the government regulations relating to the COVID-19 pandemic
But like all modern makers, we haven’t let a little thing like a global pandemic stop our creating
During lock-down a number of us completed house quilts, many of us using the free village quilt pattern made available by Moda.
Lock-down also meant the cancellation of our Jenny Haynes workshops, but we managed top host the first one via zoom early in July even though Jenny is back home in the UK and we are all based here in Brisbane. Our second Jenny Haynes workshop is coming up at the end of this month. Check out our social media for information on the class and how to get a ticket.
Many of us have been busy making face masks. While they are not required here in Brisbane (yet) many of us have family in Victoria, where they are required, or in NSW where the wearing of masks is encouraged.
Our next sew day is a couple of weeks away. Unfortunately, because of the government regulations around gatherings during the pandemic, we cannot welcome visitors to our meetings at this time. But we look forward to welcoming you when the pandemic is over and the restrictions have been lifted.
In the meanwhile, we wish everyone good health and remind you to stay safe, maintain your social distance and wash your hands
